AmpLabs Simulate
Samsung INR21700-30T example cell model
A 3.0 Ah example for exploring battery voltage, current and temperature—and comparing a model with measured drive-cycle data.
Run the example
Open the Samsung 30T discharge example at 1C and 25 °C. Change the current, temperature and supported thermal settings, then run the simulation. The chart and BDF download contain the result of that run; changing settings alone does not produce a new result.
To compare predicted voltage with measurements, choose the UDDS drive-cycle example. The dashboard reports RMSE, mean absolute error and maximum voltage error for the selected comparison. Read these alongside the curve and test conditions, rather than treating one error value as a universal accuracy claim.
Download the example parameters
In the Samsung playground, select “Download Parameters (JSON)” to open the email form. The export is native JSON, including temperature-dependent tables and public notes. It can be inspected in your own tools; using it in another simulator may require adapting its schema and expressions.
BPX conversion is not supported for this Samsung set because its temperature-dependent tables are not represented by the current export path. The separate LG M50T example offers a BPX download.
Provenance and limitations
This example combines fitted and literature-derived properties. Its geometry reference is Schmitt et al. (2023). OCV tables are borrowed reference curves, not a fully measured NCA dataset. The parameter file includes these limitations.
The measured UDDS comparison uses data by P. Kollmeyer and M. Skells, McMaster University, under CC BY 4.0. The example is not a Samsung-certified model. Validate suitability against your own cell measurements and operating range before making design decisions.
