Cell testing as a service

Enterprise cell testing, on demand.

Cyclers are backordered and chambers are booked solid. Send AmpLabs your cells or your protocol and we run the tests on our equipment — you get clean, structured data back, ready to model.

What you can run

The standard characterization battery teams need to build a model or make a cell decision — run on calibrated equipment, to a repeatable protocol.

Characterization

HPPC & pulse

Hybrid pulse power characterization across SOC and temperature — the input a physics or ECM fit needs.

Reference

OCV & capacity

Slow-rate charge/discharge for open-circuit voltage and usable capacity, the backbone of any cell model.

Duty cycle

Drive cycles & DCFC

Real-world load profiles and fast-charge protocols to validate performance and thermal behavior.

Aging

Cycle life

Long-term cycling to characterize capacity fade and degradation over hundreds to thousands of cycles.

How it works

01

Tell us the cell

Ship us samples, or send the cell spec. Choose from our standard protocols or define your own on the platform. Not sure? We’ll recommend the right tests for your goal.

02

We run it

Your tests run on enterprise cyclers inside a temperature chamber — capacity that would take you months and a capital budget to stand up.

03

You get clean data

Structured, consistent results you can drop straight into a model — or hand to AmpLabs to fit one for you.

Which battery cell tests can I request?

AmpLabs offers HPPC and pulse characterization, open-circuit voltage (OCV), capacity, drive-cycle, fast-charge, and cycle-life testing. Share your cell and protocol requirements when requesting access.

What is the difference between HPPC and OCV testing?

HPPC characterizes the cell response to power pulses across state of charge and temperature. OCV testing characterizes open-circuit voltage; slow-rate reference data and capacity measurements support cell modeling.

Can testing support a simulation model?

Yes. HPPC, OCV, and capacity data are inputs to cell-model fitting. The simulation workflow uses test data to fit a model and checks its predictions against validation data.
